Mulberry Crisis

Its the last week in May, which means we are up to our ears in Mulberries…

Thats right, our otherwise lovely garden tree is a prolific mulberry which drops ripe berries continuously for three plus weeks each spring. We have to sweep them to the side of the sidewalk before and after work just to keep the front walk from becoming an inpromptu mulberry wine making adventure… Sticky, juicy, slippery, bird and bug attracting berries falling right before our eyes. This is our second mulberry spring. Apparently you can use them for jelly, wine, pies, etc… Someone please come collect our ripe berries… We’ll give them to you for free!
