What comes from a tree in May, smells sweet, lasts three weeks and squishes?
We love our garden tree but three weeks of the year we get quite the treat… Our current crop of treat started May 12th and should ease up around the first of June.
So we add sweeping the front walk to our schedule twice a day to keep the squishing and ensuing sticky mess to a minimum.
Not so bad if you consider the benefits of our prolific deciduous the other 49 weeks of the year.
Trimming back the tree about six months ago really helped the amount of berries this spring, very happy we decided to do that!
