Unless you were removing lauan from your kitchen floor tonight, you probably had a more relaxing evening than we did. Just guessing. First we moved the fridge and dishwasher to the living room, which was difficult… but a picnic compared to what came next.

Removing the layer of lauan glued & stapled to the plywood subfloor. We kinda knew all along we’d have to rip it up to get good adhesion for our self leveler (WHAT?! we have an un level floor?!)  but… we were trying to ignore the situation by putting it off… Here’s why:
