…Let’s talk threshold! Ignoring the ghost in the background, look closely (between the clamps) for the chameleon existing-to-be-relocated threshold; we sanded and filled the old nail holes.
Then Rob nailed it in place at the new bedroom door opening. All of the doors on the second floor (except bathroom) have the same oak thresholds c1900, so we opted to reinstall it here.
Then we sanded and stained, using cherry and walnut stain:

They’re barely noticeable in person and we still have to put poly on, which will help it blend with the surrounding floor even more.
