Paneling & Doors

We searched long and hard to find a stile and rail router bit set that matches the profile on all the old doors in our house, and tonight I finally got to use them! Above is a test run and below is a test fit.

This is the panel for the ceiling between the hall and orange bedroom, but we will also me fabricating several new closet doors with these bits. We used MDF as it is easy to mill, dimensionally stable, and of course affordable…

The way they go together is the back of the rail (horizontal member) is routed out to accept the profile on the stile (vertical member). Can’t wait to give these a good coat of paint!

We'd love to hear from you!
