Seriously hard wood to cut. We’re using oak in the living room because we plan to stain all the new/existing wood in there. But despite the pain of cutting we’ve gotten the ‘main’ baseboards up and cut on two of the walls…
There’s a cap and shoe piece that goes with the main board you see here, but this is the only piece needed for electrical outlets:
Furring strips on the original plaster wall behind the baseboard. Notice anything… Red in the background here? You really don’t want to know what’s happening on our south wall.
