Rob patched up some of the chips in the old tile cap:

Cleaned all the mortar out from between the wall and floor tiles:

….Using a variety of tools. Our favorites include an Olfa knife, utility knife, and a window zipper… Also great for unsticking painted shut windows.

And now moving on to sealing the porous ceramic wall tile with a low VOC sealer that still smells less than fantastic. Sponge on, wipe off, let dry 2 hours, reapply.
