Access Panels

Something unglamorous… But necessary! I tackled this tonight while Rob soldered, so I now consider myself a pro access door installer. Ha. So first cut holes into the back of your closet:

From inside the closet:

There were a few even more unglamorous steps in-between but this is the frame, glued in place:

Then snap in the panel. Didn’t Rob do a great job spray painting the formerly white panels matte black with some paint we already had? Sorry for the photo flash in the dust photo:

Now we can access the shut off valves we’re installing for the shower heads and tub filler in the future. We had considered a few locations for the panel but when it came down to it, inside the closet (Rob’s side) was the least visible yet still easily accessible.

We'd love to hear from you!
