Our house is charmingly crooked in some areas. One area being our kitchen floor towards the sink arra, which is 1″ lower than the rest of the kitchen. So that’s why we’re pouring self leveler before we tile.

It’s job is to make sure the floor in the lower area doesn’t continue to sink after we do all this work. Not that we think it will, but better safe than cracked tile.
