The hole cut out on the right is for accessing the radiator controls once the top is installed. The kick area is open because it will need a grille to take in fresh air for the radiator and the marble top will have slots to let the heated air rise.

Good enough for the stone guys to measure the top Friday morning! We’re both still sick and my cold -despite the snow day rest- got worse today, but we are Troopers and managed to get this project knocked out in just under 2 1/2 hours.
