Tonight we tried a lot of tile layouts (without cutting anything) to see what we like best… lots of moving of 12×24 tiles. Unfortunately they don’t slide well on Ditra. We started with a running bond running north-south:

Then we tried out a herringbone pattern, which we liked more than we originally thought:

We also experimented with a border… just to see:

In the end, we liked this last option the best- running bond running east-west:

It flows nicely across the kitchen, under the island countertop and into the living room:
