Here’s one of the slabs we saw at the remnant yard last weekend in NJ. We were intrigued by this creamy off-white travertine as an option for our credenza and half bath:
We brought some samples home to look at next to the other finishes:
Very warm and rich compared to our first choice, the classic clean and modern carrera (the square sample).
And it’s a definitely a classic in it’s own right- the Romans built the Colosseum out of travertine (thanks wiki, I was trying to figure out if it worked well on countertops but I suppose that’s a rave review). What do you think- warm and weathered or crisp modern white?
