If you want it done right you gotta do it yourself. My husband happens to be excellent at soldering and plumbing and is afraid of nothing! So we are running all our hot and cold water supplies for the bathrooms and kitchen in rigid and flexible copper. I am trying to learn how to be a plumbing pro, and you have to learn the basics first…
1- after you cut the pipe the right size, clean the edges with the cutter tool
2- clean all connections with steel wool
3- paint flux at all connections, this cleans the pipe further and makes the connection work better
4- after you dry fit everything, you are ready to SOLDER! I admit I haven’t tried this step yet…
But the danger warning is intriguing…

See, clearly you left Cecil County too soon. I learned all about copper piping when we totally redid the piping going into the wood stove and new water tank stuff. Nothing like soldering pipe that’s hidden behind a propane water heater with like 2 inches of clearance. π
