Here are our five joists, they are reclaimed lumber same as our previously installed beam. My dad brought these all the way from MD up 95, then him and I carried them up Mad Sq (oh the curious looks you get) and stacked em up, then brought them in thru the dining room window once Rob was here to help… That was the easy part.
Next step is to get some holes drilled in (my job), lift them up (Rob & Dad’s job) and attach to the existing joists in the kitchen ceiling (joint effort?). If this sounds like your idea of a fun Thursday evening, please, stop by!
